Dr. John J. Marchese Jr., D.C. |
Dr. John Marchese founded Highlands Chiropractic and Sports Therapy in 1999, which later became the present day Marchese Sports Therapy. The practice of chiropractic and the initiation of sports medicine practices within a unique practice were the goal and are still achieved daily within the everyday operations of patient care at the facility. Dr. Marchese uses a combination of techniques based in the sciences, including biomechanics, kinesiology, neurology and human physiology. This coupled with the application of restoratives/corrective therapeutic exercise and the latest physiotherapeutic modalities makes the care rendered at the clinic innovative, fun and most important of all...highly effective.
Dr. Marchese obtained his doctorate in 1996 from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Marchese played for the ice hockey team (a bit of a mucker) and got the chance to work with the US Olympic team coaches as a Sports Injury Department intern. Previously, 1992 Dr. Marchese obtained his BS in Physical Education in the Exercise Science and Cardiac Rehabilitation from the University of Rhode Island where he played for the URI Rams Football team (again a bit of a mucker). Other certifications previously held include a CSCS from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), multiple soft issue and adjusting technique certifications including Active Release Technique, Muscle Activation Technique, Clinical Kinesiology and many more.
Dr. Marchese enjoys a diverse patient base which ranges from the professional athletes to the neurologically compromised (MS, Parkinson's etc...) Either way all patients are treated with the same directed and innovative care which has become the standard at the clinic and will never be compromised.
In addition to his clinical practice Dr. Marchese also lectures locally and throughout the country on topics including but not limited to soft tissue techniques, strength and conditioning, therapeutic exercise and rehabilitative strategies amongst others.
Dr. Marchese resides in Melrose with his wife Kristen.

As the basis of his chiropractic practice, Dr. Morgan combines a deep understanding of human functional biomechanics with excellent diagnostic skills and a unique combination of manual and movement based corrective therapies. Dr. Morgan obtained his doctorate degree in 1995 with honors from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, and his baccalaureate degree in 1990 from Westfield State College. In 1999, he was awarded certification status as a Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) by the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians. Ned is the newest member of the Marchese Sports Therapy team. He is very excited and honored to be amongst such professionals.
While working for a local non-profit organization, Ned began his career in Health, teaching a class on the effects of Exercise and Relapse Prevention. Although having participated in Football, Wrestling, Track, and Tennis throughout his youth and young adult years, he never really considered himself an "Athlete". It was not until he went back to school, that he received a new affinity for health and wellness. While taking classes toward a Health Sciences Degree in Orlando FL, he decided to attend the National Personal Training Institute's Career Diploma Program. The program gave him the opportunity for clinical work, training around 80 individuals over the span of 5 months. He completed the program in January of '06. Upon completion, he moved back to this area and began working for a one on one personal training franchise, which is where he stayed employed for 5.5 years.
During this time Ned became involved in organized lifting, training in Olympic lifting and competing in Power lifting. Ned has a combined (natural) best in the big three lifts of 1100lbs weighing in at 171lbs at the time. He has a serious passion for strength work, and nothing excites him more than seeing someone make a personal best in a chosen lift or event! This definitely shines through in his unique training style, where he incorporates movement borrowed from Power lifting, Olympic lifting, Strongman/awkward object lifting and Creative Human Movement. It is never a dull moment training with Ned!
Ned is currently accepting clients for one on one training, small and large-group-training, and nutritional consultation. He is very excited to help you reach all of your Fitness and Nutritional goals!
